Story
Behind
My
New
Online
Identity As
the
saying
goes,
“A
picture
is
worth
a
thousand
words”.
Well,
for
me,
a
new
online
identity
is
worth
at
least
three
hundred
and
thirty-three
words.
Recently,
I
decided
to
change
my
internet
handle
and
avatar
from
the
mundane
to
something
a
little
more
fanciful.
The
result?
Flora’s
Wonderland. The
inspiration
for
the
new
name
came
from
my
love
of
nature,
and
the
beauty
and
resilience
of
plant
life.
In
Latin,
Flora
means
“flower”,
and
she
was
the
Roman
goddess
of
fertility,
springtime,
and
blooming
flowers.
To
me,
she
represents
the
growth
and
hope
that
every
new
season
brings,
and
the
way
in
which
nature
has
the
power
to
both
soothe
and
uplift
us. The
concept
of
“Wonderland”
also
holds
a
special
place

I
have
always
been
a
fan
of
Alice’s
Adventures
in
Wonderland,
and
the
idea
of
an
alternate,
magical
reality
filled
with
wonder
and
whimsy.
To
me,
it’s
a
reminder
that
life
can
be
full
of
surprises
and
possibilities,
if
we
just
keep
an
open
mind. As
for
the
avatar,
it’s
a
botanical-themed
illustration
that
features
a
variety
of
flowers
and
plants.
It’s
colorful,
cheerful,
and
represents
the
beauty
of
nature
that
I
find
so
inspiring. Overall,
changing
my
online
identity
felt
like
a
refreshing,
creative
exercise
that
allowed
me
to
express
a
little
more
of
myself
in
the
digital
world.
I
hope
that
Flora’s
Wonderland
will
inspire
me
to
embrace
my
imagination
and
continue
to
grow
and
bloom,
just
like
the
flowers
that
I
love
so
much.
