My
Journey
as
a
Black
Woman Growing
up
as
a
black
girl,
life
was
never
easy.
I
faced
discrimination
and
prejudice
on
a
daily
basis,
simply
because
of
the
color
of
my
skin.
However,
through
it
all,
I
remained
proud
of
my
heritage
and
never
let
anyone
make

feel
inferior. As
a
young
girl,
I
was
constantly
told
that
I
would
never
amount
to
anything
because
of
my
race.
But
instead
of
wallowing
in
self-pity,
I
worked
hard
at
school
and
eventually
went
on
to
pursue
higher
education.
It
wasn't
easy,
but
I
refused
to
let
negative
stereotypes
define
my
future. Despite
the
challenges,
being
a
black
woman
is
also
a
source
of
strength
and
resilience.
Our
culture
is
rich
and
vibrant,
and
I
take
pride
in
our
ability
to
persevere
and
overcome
adversity.
Whether
it's
through
music,
dance,
or
other
forms
of
art,
our
voices
are
heard
loud
and
clear. As
I
grew
older,
I
became
more
aware
of
the
inequalities
and
injustices
that
exist
in
the
world.
But
instead
of
feeling
discouraged,
I
choose
to
use
my
voice
to
speak
out
against
systemic
racism
and
work
towards
creating
a
more
equitable
society. Being
a
black
woman
is
a
complex
experience,
but
I
wouldn't
have
it
any
other
way.
Our
journey
is
one
of
strength,
resilience,
and
empowerment.
We
may
face
obstacles,
but
we
never
let
them
define
us.
Instead,
we
use
them
as
a
stepping
stone
to
reach
greater
heights
and
achieve
our
dreams.
