Wade,
commonly
known
as
Wade,
is
a
former
professional
basketball
player
from
the
United
States.
He
played
16
seasons
in
the
National
Basketball
Association
(NBA)
and
is
considered
one
of
the
best
shooting
guards
in
the
history
of
the
sport. Wade
was
born
in
Chicago,
Illinois
in
1982
and
began
playing
basketball
at
a
young
age.
He
later
attended
Marquette
University,
where
he
played
for
the
Golden
Eagles
and
helped
lead
the
team
to
the
Final
Four
in
2003. After
his
college
career,
Wade
was
selected
fifth
overall
by
the
Miami
Heat
in
the
2003
NBA
Draft.
He
quickly
became
a
star
player
for
the
team
and
helped
lead
them
to
their
first
NBA
Championship
in
2006.
Wade
would
go
on
to
win
two
more
championships
with
the
Miami
Heat
in
2012
and
2013. Throughout
his
career,
Wade
was
known
for
his
clutch
performances
in
big
games.
He
was
a
13-time
NBA
All-Star,
an
eight-time
member
of
the
All-NBA
team,
and
won
a
scoring
title
in
2009.
